The life of Jennifer Lea Holmes began on August 26, 1956 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was the third child of Carlynne L. Holmes and Burt B. Holmes. She grew up walking the footbridge to Carnegie, then went on to Nimitz and graduated from Memorial High School. There, she discovered her knack for foreign language and began to master French. She was drawn to it by natural ability and in part, theatrics. Eventually, she trained her be’loved Newfoundland, Hannibal, to obey with French commands. After graduating from the University of Tulsa with a degree in communications and the homecoming crown, she moved to Los Angeles. She landed a job working on Mash and eventually earned a securities license and worked in banking. Following a brief move to New York, she moved back to Tulsa. She continued her education and became a nursing home administrator. She was gifted with a wild imagination, creativity and the ability to tell one heck of a story. When she finished no one was really sure if it actually did happen, but almost everyone could appreciate the passion with which it was told. She was an original and God broke the mold when she was born. She will be truly missed. Jennifer is survived by her parents, her siblings Jeff Holmes, Julia Holmes-Ange, Janice Chevaillier, Joan Stedman and her nieces and nephews.

Jen was a fun loving, grab-all-of-life person.  She had many adventures and regaled us with so many funny stories.  We were neighbors in elementary school, and lived together in college.  While we lived far away from one another for many years, we kept in touch, visited each other and had good laughs and memories. She had a huge heart and a deep love for animals.
