Jay Clary
2021-01-03
Jerome Edwin Clary at the age of 64 was called to Heaven on January 3, 2021 to be with his Lord and Savior after a month-long battle with COVID-19.
Jay was married to Debbie, the love of his life. They had been together since they were in high school, and after only 6 weeks they were engaged. This June they would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. Jay absolutely loved Debbie with all his heart and soul. Together they had three children DeAnna, JaNette, and Jeromey, and have been blessed with nine grandchildren.
Jay was an inspirational person, posting daily devotionals to encourage Dee, his oldest daughter who went to heaven October 23, 2020 due to breast cancer, and the thousands of team DEEtermined members. Team DEEtermined was a Facebook group that grew to nearly 2,000 people from all over the world.
The Animal Health and Nutrition world will miss Jay as he worked in our industry for 42 years. Jay had a positive impact on many people’s lives as a friend, co-worker, boss, and mentor having worked for Elanco, American Cyanamid, Micro Beef Technologies, Novartis Animal Health, Schering Plough, Trouw Nutrition, QTI Inc., and most recently Native Microbials. He had great creativity, achievement drive, empathy and he loved talking about his family, he was immensely proud of what they had accomplished. He had a very infectious laugh and his get it done mentality inspired others to do their best. He will be greatly missed.
