Sidney Morgan, 68, of Stillwater, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home on August 20, 2024. A memorial service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Strode Funeral Home Chapel. Leon Weece of Miami, Oklahoma, will officiate the service. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.
She was born on October 29, 1955, in Amarillo, Texas, to Sid and Laverne Muse. Sidney was a lifelong learner and dedicated educator. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business from the University of Oklahoma, an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from NEO A&M College, and a Master's Degree in Education from Pittsburgh State University. Sidney devoted much of her career to educating others as a Physical Therapy Assistant, an instructor at NEO, and later as a Clinical Coordinator for the program.
Following her retirement, Sidney found joy in serving as a library assistant at Stillwater Christian School, where she cherished being close to her grandchildren. Her faith was central in her life; she was an active member of First Christian Church in Miami, Oklahoma, and after relocating to Stillwater, she attended Life Church. Sidney also participated in Bible Study Fellowship for many years and was a devoted participant in her church and small group communities.
Sidney's greatest happiness came from spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She will be remembered for her loving spirit, dedication to education, and steadfast faith.
Sidney is preceded in death by her parents, Sid and Laverne Muse. She is survived by her daughter, Katie Beitz, and her husband Adam; her two grandsons, Cade and Cole; her brother J Muse and his wife Barbara; and her niece, Kelly Armentrout.
Sidney will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love, faith, and education will live on in the lives she touched.
